We’ll see you at Launch Festival 2014

The Launch Festival is the leading edge of the startup industry.

Last year’s Launch Festival 2013 buzzed with the energy of over 6,000 startup and tech fanatics. Held at the San Francisco Design Center, the tone was causal and fun, feeling more like a party than a conference. The festival was packed with technologists, journalists, bloggers, entrepreneurs, angel investors, venture capitalists and hundreds of optimistic startups. Over $1.8 million was committed to startups during the 72-hour event.

This year there will be even more.

Conference founder, Jason Calacanis, is promising to make this year’s festival bigger, better, and more exciting. It’s his leaving legacy. On February 24, 2014 over 8,000 startup and technology enthusiasts are expected to attend the three-day festival. It’s the seventh year Calacanis has held the event.

The festival is busy with lots of happenings. VIP parties, private dinners, three stages, keynote speakers, fireside chats, and off the record poker games. On the Main Stage, 40 companies pitch to notable venture capitalists and angels who judge the companies and may even write checks on the spot. It’s happened before! The companies will compete to win one of three awards; Best Design, Best Technology, Best Overall. Another 150 startups set up demo tables in the Demo Pit for attendees and investors to demo their product. The Startup Stage is for startup companies to conduct a 30-minute pitch and Q&A in front of 500 audience members. The third stage, Skills Stage, is for attendees to learn from industry experts about UI/UX, raising money, and succeeding in the app store.

Keynoting this year’s festival is Dallas Mavericks owner and SharkTank star, Mark Cuban. One of our favorites at Traklight!

Yes, Traklight will be there. We partnered with Launch and will have Trakers demoing Traklight’s products in the Demo Pit. We’re excited for the opportunity to be participating at such a premier event and hope you will come too. Join the party and make sure you say hello!
