Trakers Number 13

So some might think 13 is a bad number.  Turns out it’s actually a Happy Number.  Seriously.  According to Wikipedia “A happy number is defined by the following process: Starting with any positive integer, replace the number by the sum of the squares of its digits, and repeat the process until the number equals 1 (where it will stay), or it loops endlessly in a cycle which does not include 1. Those numbers for which this process ends in 1 are happy numbers, while those that do not end in 1 are unhappy numbers (or sad numbers[1]).”  If you don’t believe Wikipedia, the rugby league and Dan Marino could vouch for the happiness of 13.

Why am I so happy about the number 13?  Well, Traklight is now a powerful team of 13 highly-energized (sometimes highly excitable) people all focused around helping others identifying and protecting intellectual property.

Who rounds out this Traker team of 13?

Let’s start wAdamFalconerith Adam Falconer.  Adam lives in Kansas City and is our resident subject matter expert in all things IP.  I understand in a former life he was  a programmer and consultant with a Big 4 accounting firm. He’s married and has an adorable daughter and laid back yellow lab.

SamWileySam Wiley lives in the San Francisco Bay area.  He’s going to make the college football season interesting as a graduate of the University of Arizona amongst a few ASU alumn.  Sam has experience as a patent examiner for the USPTO, SEC and CIA.  Hey, we’re working with IP.  We like a few acronyms.

They know their stuff.  Check out a recent blog post Sam and Adam wrote about gaming – Licensing and IP Issues for Mobile and Social Game Developers.

So welcome Adam and Sam!  We’re glad you’ve made us a Happy Number 13!
